Edward Derengowski

Ed has diverse accounting and finance experience across across a broad range of industries. At Harney, he supports client engagements and transactions with technical expertise in financial modeling, accounting reports, and industry and transaction analysis. In addition, his experience spans control testing, FP&A, cost accounting, derivative valuation, process improvement, process documentation, and more.
Previously a senior associate at PwC, he has also served in consulting roles including Financial Reporting Manager and Fixed Asset Manager. He has also supported C-level teams to develop reporting, IPO readiness and more. He is proficient in Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, Blackline, and Microsoft Dynamics.
Representative Engagements
Interim Financial Reporting Manager for a publicly traded meal-kit company
- Created and streamlined financial statement flux analysis reports at the consolidated and individual vertical levels
- Built-out and presented month and year-end management reports
- Assisted with interim and year-end audit facilitation
- Prepared and reviewed month-end intercompany tasks and entries

Fixed Asset Manager for a publicly traded EV manufacturer
- Responsible for managing multi-member accounting function and ensuring a timely month-end close process
- Wrote various fixed asset and inventory related memos as client progressed from R&D to Production phase of the manufacturing lifecycle
- Developed, maintained and communicated several management reports, including both indirect and direct fixed asset related cash flow reports
and flux analysis over fixed asset related GL accounts
Other Consulting Engagements
- Collaborated with C-Level executives of an upstream Oil & Gas company to develop a quarterly FP&A report based on historical and projected assumptions
- Analyzed and cataloged relevant contracts for a healthcare SAAS company, which was utilized to develop and build out an independent financial reporting framework
- Assisted in performing a balance sheet reconciliation for a large hotel management firm after an acquisition (~160 acquired entities)
